BARCALDINE & BEYOND TOURS – TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1.         TOUR PARTICIPATIONS 

Barcaldine and Beyond Tours (BBT) may, as an operator, reserve the right to exclude any guests from our tour at any time if, in our opinion, a guest may appear likely to risk the health and safety of other guests, including themselves, or in the event a guest commits any illegal act or acts, BBT will not be liable for any compensation or expenses arising from such guests being precluded from completing the tour.

2.         SPECIAL DIETS

If there are any passengers requiring special dietary needs (e.g. vegetarian or gluten free), such passengers must inform BBT at the time of their reservation and re-confirm their request with the BBT host upon arrival. BBT is unable to guarantee special requests will be met in all circumstances.

3.         SPECIAL ASSISTANCE

BBT welcomes guests with special needs, provided they are accompanied by a paying companion capable of providing all necessary assistance. BBT are not responsible for any losses incurred, should the guest be unable to participate in the tour, being part or all of the tour.

4.         GENERAL HEALTH AND FITNESS

Short to moderate walks with uneven ground and/or steps are often encountered during our tour. Therefore, for the enjoyment and safety of all guests, guests should be in good physical condition. BBT is unable to provide individual assistance to any guests for walking, dining, boarding or alighting BBT tour vehicles. 

5.         PRICING AND CONDITIONS

All prices in this Terms and Conditions document are quoted in Australian Currency and include tour preparation, operation costs and GST where applicable. Prices include all on-tour coach travel, railway station and airport transfers, meals, accommodation, sightseeing and admissions as per the itinerary. Prices do not include airfares, rail tickets, nor do they include drinks, laundry, optional activities or items of a personal nature.

6.         CHANGES TO THE ITINERARY

BBT is often not the provider of attractions, excursions and/or optional tours. Accordingly, BBT may, where it is required to do so, suspend or cancel any tour inclusion where that tour inclusion is not available or in the opinion of BBT, unadvisable, unsafe or unsuitable. During local and national holidays, certain facilities such as museums and restaurants, sightseeing tours and shopping may be limited or not available. BBT reserves the right to alter or change the accommodation, carriers or vessels at any time for any reason and to cancel or alter the itinerary and/or tour at any time without notice as BBT considers necessary for any reason whatsoever including road, weather or traffic conditions, non-performance of suppliers, industrial action, operational conditions and requirements. Where a tour is cancelled prior to the departure date, BBT will use all reasonable endeavours to offer the nearest possible alternative tour (subject to a refund or payment to cover any tour price difference) or, if this is not acceptable, refund the tour price of such portion of the tour as BBT considers appropriate. Services of a tour host are not guaranteed on tours with less than eight (8) passengers.

**COVID-19 Safe Booking Guarantee – we recognise that travel plans may change especially during these unprecedented times. Where Govt. imposed COVID-19 restrictions impact your tour arrangements, 100% of your deposit can be transferred to another date or refunded. Conditions apply.

All cancellations must be advised in writing.

8.         DEPOSITS AND FINAL PAYMENTS

To confirm your reservation, a non-refundable deposit of $395.00 per person is required. Additional deposit payments are required for Rail and Flight add-ons and deposit amounts will be advised at time of booking. Reservations will be held for seven (7) days only without deposit. After your deposit has been received, BBT will send your travel agent or yourself (if you booked direct with BBT) confirmation of your booking. All airfares are non-refundable and subject to strict payment and ticketing deadlines, to be advised at the time of booking. Balance of payment for your tour is to be paid 60 days prior to departure. For bookings made less than 60 days prior to travel, full payment is required within forty eight (48) hours of booking. It is the responsibility of the passenger or their agent to pay the tour price by the due date. Agents must advise BBT in writing if payment is not received by their client on time to avoid cancellation fees.

9.         TRAVEL INSURANCE

Passengers are strongly recommended to take out travel insurance to cover against unforeseen circumstances.

10.       BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE

One (1) medium sized suitcase per person (approx. height 60cm – width 40cm – depth 30cm) maximum weight must be 20kg. One (1) piece of hand luggage / day pack may be carried onboard the coach. Due to limited space, the carriage of wheelie-walkers must be requested prior to travel.

11.       RESPONSIBILITY

Passenger participation in tours operated by BBT may incur certain risks and dangers which are beyond the operators’ control including, but not limited to, the hazards of travelling in remote areas, travel by boat, train, automobile, aircraft or other means of transportation, the forces of nature and accident or illness in remote regions without means of rapid evacuation or medical facilities. BBT will not have any liability regarding provision of medical care or the adequacy of any care that may be rendered. It is understood and acknowledged that BBT will use their best efforts and endeavours to ensure that adequate measures are taken. Passengers must make their own enquiries regarding safety warnings in relation to the destination they are travelling to.

12.       LIMITATION OF LIABILITY IN THE EVENT OF FORCE MAJEURE

In the event of a force majeure event making it impossible or unsafe for BBT to deliver all or part of the Holiday Package, BBT will refund the customer for the unperformed part of the Holiday Package less the non-refundable deposit and any reasonable losses incurred before cancellation. BBT will use reasonable endeavours to minimise losses incurred by customers.

13.       SMOKING

Government regulations prohibit smoking on tour coaches.

14.       THIRD PARTY SUPPLIERS

Third party excursions such as Scenic Flights, Boat Cruises and Rail are not operated by BBT nor by persons or companies associated with BBT. There are also other services not supplied by BBT but by third party suppliers. These activities may involve inherit risk of injury, death, accident, delay and loss and clients assume all such risk with regard to any misadventure, death, injury, delay or loss which occurs during, or as a result of, any such activities or the supply of any such services. Please note that BBT does not incur any liability for airfares purchased by travel agents or clients via the internet, if a tour is cancelled. BBT cannot be held responsible for airfare conditions, all such risk, loss and expense must be borne by the travel agent or client.

15.       VALIDITY

Tours are valid as per individual tour departure dates.

This Terms and Conditions document may be subject to further changes by BBT from time to time.

After booking you will receive an invoice and other important information relevant to your tour. It is recommended to check your details and understand all information and Terms and Conditions.
